If you have come to my support group then you have heard me say that carbs and sweets are the crack of the diet world! This Healthy Lifestyle Tip proves my thought:
Healthy Lifestyle Tip: Just One Bite
Just one heavenly chocolate truffle won't wreck your diet, right? Wrong. A joint study from the University of Miami and the University of Florida found that a single bite of a sweet can trigger a desire for more sweet or fattening foods like ice cream, pizza, chips or doughnuts. "A small indulgence may prime a pleasure trigger and lead to more indulgence," the authors concluded. Your best bet is to not indulge on a whim but to make an advance plan and stick to it. Tell yourself, "I'll have one sweet a day and today it will be ......"
Once you start, you want more and more. For me personally and like many others, my drug of choice is sweets. Mexican Bread, anything chocolaty and crunchy oh yes then there is my longtime love, cheesecake!

Amen girlfriend! ABC did a news report on that very thing here:

I believed this for years! Therefore when someone says they take a little bit to get past the craving (I believe) we just turn on the craving centers even more. You go girl!
